If you see anything suspicious please report it immediately and if you are a NHW member please state this to the operator when calling. It might be the vital piece of information we need! Sussex Police gratefully receive information on all suspicious activity, suspicious persons and Anti-Social Behaviour, occurring in your area. We thank you for your vigilance and together, in partnership, we will effectively reduce and detect crime.
Possibly Avoiding Crime
- You can avoid being a victim of local petty crime by taking some basic precautions.
- Burglary from sheds can be possibly avoided if valuable items cannot be seen through the shed window.
- Milk is stolen from the doorstep. This can be avoided by having the milkman leave the milk in a concealed place, rather than being on show.
- Many cycles are padlocked but not to an object fastened to the ground.
- It's just a matter of thinking about how you should not encourage a burglar.
- Lock your back door when answering your front door, and always use a chain
